I'm a designer with over 20 years experience, spent mostly in the wonderful world of advertising. Having worked with an assortment of agencies, from small to big, traditional to digital. It's given me a good grasp of many things. Knowing what it takes to make people read stuff; page stoppers not page turners.

I managed my first studio when I was a mere 21 year old whippersnapper – responsible for staffing, workflow and profitability. Since then, my ambitions have been updated, always keen to improve my skills. Often moving away from management to develop my typographic and illustrative know-how. As a result, I've become a more versatile design director.

In recent years, I've demonstrated a knack for conceptual thinking and copywriting, making me a well rounded chap. Not always the most saleable quality in our industry, but it means I can apply myself in ways that better support the creative process. It also makes me better placed to nurture and encourage new talent.
